This yarn – is luxurious. 100% merino. The color is a vivid but tamed blue.

Somewhat fun knit. I do dislike purling in small needle size 😀 never ending! But the yarn here – truly helped! It’s such a beautiful yarn and my first taste into the madelinetosh brand. Hooked for sure 🙂

Knitted in DROPS Puna and Istex Lettlopi. My first go with both yarns. This was an interesting knit, must say. But. The outcome just didn’t seem right. It’s not a relaxed sweater – for sure. She shoulders are just too slim for my taste. But the yarn is yummy. Soft and warm. I think i might knit this one again, maybe mix one size (on shoulders) with the M size body.

my True Friend

11/08/2017

Knitted in Isager Highland Wool and Knitlob’s lair Ilmatar. Wool meets silk. A beautiful pattern, easy to follow! Thou i decided to give the front panel some texture with very 4th row as a purl.

After a few months from bind-off and a lot of usage.. i accidentally put the sweater in a wash and now it’s a dish cloth/doll sweater. Oh well. This was a fun knit and the sweater had that relaxed light feel to it – that i might just knit this one again someday. Maybe add some extra with moss-stitch 🙂

a game of Tetris

07/08/2017

Knitted in DROPS Flora hand dyed by me. I had taken some time (2 years) off from dyeing yarn, just no time or space for it! Excuses. Anyway. This knit was such fun from the dye pans into the bind off. It fits comfy, like a slightly oversized college sweater and is airy but warm (by alpaca & wool yarn)

Two things one knit

Knitted in DROPS alpaca mix yarn. A comfy blouse with a very strange construction. Strange but easy to knit. Planning to knit another one with some lace maybe. More abt this knit at the Happy Kanto -blog.

There are some confusing Kitchener Stitch how-to videos in YouTube. At least to me! I had a rotten luck, until i found this Memorize the Kitchener Stitch -> i watched it well over 5 times, then drew the process and made a little mantra abt it, but.. i got it! 😀 Still not a fan of it – but the end result is one of the best!

This a super simple knit and has a ease & relaxed fit. I absolutely recommend knitting it!

Sleeves of Lace

02/02/2017

Knitted in beautiful tweed tussah silk. I absolutely love tussah silk – and in tweed? YES please 😀

This was an easy top-down raglan sweater i added some lace to the sleeves. Different kind of lace from the original patterns – which to me just looked too busy for this yarn.

Also the body had a bit less shape then the original pattern.

a Raglan top-down is the most easiest sweater to knit – my opinion of course. But as i have shun even the idea of knitting Anything from parts (NEVER!!) i have found top-down to be 110% easier and better than bottom up. Better? No longer too short of a hem or too long/short sleeves 🙂

Flowers in the Moss land

Knitted in DROPS alpaca mix yarn. A comfy tunic. Used some wooden beads. I know.. “wood? what an imbecile” – but i wanted them wooden.. sweaters in my opinion are not supposed to washed in a heavy wash again and again. So.. the wooden beads are a perfect texture for this knit. And also.. i have given up 100% in using plastic in anyway in knitting. Yarn or additions. Ugh. No thanks. Raglan in my opinion is the most easiest sweater style to knit. Thou with this i started from the hem – lately i’ve only knitted sweaters top-down hence them fitting better. And with this.. bottom-up sweater the sleeves did turn out about 5cm too long 🙁 darn. But! it’s for me and it’s comfy as DAMN 😀
